The Reading Railers semipro basketball team has suspended operations, the Reading Eagle has learned.
Co-owner Jim Stec said the team hopes to make a return for the 2010 season but that the current economic climate makes it impossible to re-join the Premier Basketball League for the upcoming 2009 season.
