ARENAFOOTBALL2 LEAGUE AND THE PREMIER
BASKETBALL LEAGUE ANNOUNCE JOINT VENTURE
(Chicago, IL)… The Premier Basketball League (PBL) and the arenafootball2 League (af2) announced today that the organizations have entered into a joint venture agreement.
“We are proud to become associated with such a first class organization as af2. Combining the resources of both the af2 and the PBL creates a recognizable winning atmosphere,” stated PBL Chairman Dr. Sev Hrywnak.
The PBL and af2 will work together to offer premier marketing partnership opportunities for sponsors and advertisers as well as combining forces on other projects.
“By combining the top leagues in our respective sports, we are able to offer sponsors and advertisers avenues to the much sought after sport demographic throughout the entire year, rather than just a single sport season,” stated PBL CEO Thomas Doyle.
“We (af2) are pleased about this opportunity to team up with the Premier Basketball League,” said af2 President Jerry Kurz. “This is a unique relationship that will greatly increase the value of our respective brands which in turn will only serve to benefit our current and potential partners. With the recent announcement of the formation of the @SPORTS TV Network by the Premier Basketball League and Fusion Communications, PBL games will be seen by a audience throughout the United States and abroad.
“As the network continues to grow and additional content is added, the ability to provide an unmatched package to sponsors and advertisers by the PBL and af2 will drive significant revenues to both the PBL and af2,” added Dr. Hrywnak. “The combination of multiple professional sports leagues, national television and year round exposure, makes the af2-PBL affiliation a very unique marketing package.”
The joint venture agreement will not be limited to just sponsorship and marketing, there are plans for joint multi-media involvement together as well as other business related issues that will benefit members of both leagues
