Brad Merriweather
Where were you born and raised? Reading, Pennsylvania
Where did you attend elementary school? 13th and Green Elementary (Reading).
Where did you attend middle school? Northeast Middle School (Reading).
Did you play basketball in any youth leagues? Northwest AA (elementary) and Northeast Middle School basketball team.
Where did you play high school basketball? Reading High School (1996-1999).
Where did you play college basketball? Alvernia College (1999-2003); Coach Jack McCloskey.
Where did you play basketball after college? Harrisburg Horizons of the EBA (Eastern Basketball Alliance); Coach Gordy Bryant, as well as rec leagues at Bodyzone and in Birdsboro.
What was the best advice you ever received? “Always give 110% effort; stay positive and good things will happen.”
What is your most memorable basketball highlight? “Winning the Pac-10 Championship twice while in college and being the team CO-MVP my senior year.”
Who is your basketball hero? “Michael Jordan because of his hard work ethic and persistence.”
What are your aspirations for the upcoming season? “Seeing everyone (on the team) do well, getting a good learning experience, and a playoff berth in the inaugural season.”
What are some of your hobbies? “Lifting weights, fishing, hunting, and playing and watching football.”
Who do you admire most? “My father, he never pushed me too much when it came to sports, it was about the enjoyment of the game.”
